Rose is a Community Health Worker with the Challis Area Health Center, located in the Heart of Idaho, Custer County. After creating and managing the Custer County (Substance Abuse Prevention) Coalition for five years, Rose assisted Challis Area Health Center Administrators and area/regional partners in the creation of the CAHC Community Wellness Coalition. She serves on the Advisory Board for that Coalition. Rose also serves as the Board Chair for the Community Coalitions of Idaho, the 'umbrella' coalition for all Idaho substance abuse prevention coalitions.
Rose has served her community in various capacities over the years, including working with local youth groups and substitute teaching. For the past several years, Rose has received grants from the Idaho Office of Drug Policy to teach Botvin LifeSkills to Challis students through a weekly Lunch and Learn Program. She has over 45 years experience working with young people.
Rose has 50 years experience in business administration.
Rose teaches beginning and advanced Community Health Worker classes for Idaho State University.
Rose is a trained Community Health Worker, a Certified Prevention Specialist, a Certified Facilitator for the Darkness to Light Program and a trained Facilitator for the Strengthening Families Program.
